Záluží: Hotels and Accommodations

The early history of Záluží is closely connected with Hrádek Castle. At the same time, the Stroupinský Stream shapes the location of the village and its position between Cerhovice and Hořovice.

Landscape and Waterways

Záluží stretches along the Stroupinský Stream in a valley between Cerhovice and HoÅ™ovice. The Stroupinský Stream is a left-bank tributary of the ÄŒervený Stream, has a drainage basin of 108.515 km², and flows into the ÄŒervený Stream below BavorynÄ›.

History and Hrádek

Hrádek was probably a very old fortified settlement and was already described as abandoned at the beginning of the 14th century. The site of Hrádek can be reached by a path that branches off east of the Záluží–Osek road.

Sports and Events

The sports complex of Tělovýchovná jednota Záluží is located in the center of the village and is open to the public. Traditional nohejbal tournaments are held there.

The three-player nohejbal tournament in Záluží reached its 50th edition in 2026. It is held on two sand courts. The local events calendar also includes Winners' Cup, an annual firefighting sports competition for youth and veterans' teams with a tradition dating back to 2000.

For shopping, Záluží has a COOP store at Záluží 45. Payment there is possible with electronic food vouchers and via a payment terminal.

There are three bus stops in the village: u Kovárny, V Brance, and u Transformátoru. For a connection to HoÅ™ovice, a last departure at 19:30 is indicated.
