VÅ¡echlapy: Hotels and Accommodation

Všechlapy hosts the Všechlapská šlapka mountain bike race every year, covering a distance of 33 kilometres. The route runs mainly along dirt and forest paths, and participants of all age groups take part in the event.

Culture and History

The wooden bell tower in VÅ¡echlapy houses a bell bearing the year 1759. The structure was made from a single tree trunk and has a small roof.

Parts of a mammoth skeleton were found during road construction in the direction of Nymburk. Settlement traces from the Late Bronze Age, the Early Roman Imperial Period and the Early Middle Ages were discovered at the former site of Sad Míru. There was also an early Slavic sunken hut with a heating installation in the northeastern corner.

Various worked stones were found in the vicinity of Všechlapy, between Všechlapy and Krchleby. The archaeological enclosure of Na Kyselce lies on the northwestern edge of Všechlapy. It has the shape of an irregular oval measuring approximately 240 × 160 metres and is bounded by two parallel, repeatedly interrupted ditches.

Events

The Ostofest music group showcase takes place in VÅ¡echlapy once a year.

Landscape

Všechlapy is situated in gently rolling terrain without pronounced landscape boundaries. The Klobuš watercourse comes from the north and turns slightly southeast in the Všechlapy area.

The nearby surroundings of Všechlapy include Všechlapský vrch, which is classified as a hill, and Na Kopci [Všechlapy u Nymburka], which is also classified as a hill. In the wider regional surroundings of Všechlapy are Horky and U Borku [Záhornice u Městce Králové], which are classified as mountains.
