Zlatá was first mentioned in writing in 1357. Local life includes a competition for the best potato pancake, cycling tours, as well as festivals and community events.

Festivals and Events

Bramborákiáda is a traditional competition for the best potato pancake. A traveling trophy and a sack of potatoes are awarded at Bramborákiáda.

Obecní uzení is a community smoking event. Participants can bring marinated meat, cheese, sausages or other food, as well as already purchased smoked products, to be reheated.

The annual Čarodějnice festival, featuring the traditional burning of a witch effigy, takes place in the village square in the central part of Zlatá. Setkání generací is a Saturday afternoon with entertainment, competitions and other activities in Zlatá. The program includes welcoming new residents and congratulating seniors on milestone birthdays.

Drakiáda invites participants to bring their own kite.

Cycling Tours and Trails

Jarní cyklovýlet is an annual cycling tour that starts at 10 a.m. at the pavilion on the sports field by the forest in Zlatá. The starting location and time have remained the same for several years.

Podzimní cyklovýlet is a cycling tour for children and adults.

The “CESTY, KTERÉ NÁS SPOJUJÍ” project focused on restoring the original field paths connecting Zlatá with Stupice, Sibřina, Sluštice, Křenice, Březí, Babice, Škvorec, Třebohostice, Dobročovice and Květnice.
