Káranice: Hotels and Accommodation
The statue of the Virgin Mary in Káranice dates from 1968 and stands on a stone pedestal dating from 1912 at a road junction in the western part of the village. Together with the cemetery cross, it was funded through a public collection. Cycle route No. 4199 also passes through Káranice.
Culture and History
In front of house No. 6 stand a stone cross and a bell tower. The monument to the victims of both world wars dates from 1955 and stands at a road junction in the center of Káranice. A sandstone boulder with a wrought-iron cross commemorates the people from Káranice who died on May 6, 1945. Káranice railway station was built in 1924 on the Prague–Hradec Králové main line.
Transport
Káranice railway station is integrated into the public transport system. Passenger processing takes place on the train rather than at the station. The Káranice passenger stop opened on December 20, 1893.
Leisure and Everyday Life
Káranice has a football pitch and a large children’s playground with numerous play facilities. There is also a renovated shop and an inn.
