Trails and Educational Paths
The educational trail “The Battle of Hradec Králové on 3 July 1866 – the Retreat of the Austrian Army” leads from the Museum of East Bohemia to Lochenice, following the red-marked route along the Elbe Cycle Route.
The yellow-marked section of the full-day circular trail across the 1866 battlefield leads through Lochenice and Neděliště to Chlum. The circular trail also reaches Lochenice via Elbe Cycle Route No. 2. In Lochenice, it crosses the railway line and connects to the yellow-marked hiking route.
The cycle path from Hradec Králové to Kuks continues to Lochenice after crossing the weir near Předměřice nad Labem. After crossing the Trotina stream, it continues along a paved path towards Smiřice. The prehistoric archaeological educational trail, circular route No. 1, passes through Lochenice, which is listed as the fifth stop.
Nature
The Trotina natural monument is located in the cadastral area of Lochenice. It protects a severed side arm of the Labe and part of the Trotina stream. Fragments of softwood floodplain forests have been preserved along the old arm of the Labe and the Trotina stream.
Culture
The parish church of the “Nativity of the Virgin Mary” is associated with Lochenice.
