Mokrovousy: Hotels and Accommodation

Mokrovousy lies on the left bank of the Bystřice stream and on the route of the 1866 battlefield between Chlum and Hrádek Castle.

Nature

The European protected area EVL CZ0523264 Bystřice was designated in 2004 to protect the thick-shelled river mussel found in the Bystřice.

History

The sandstone monument to Saint Anthony of Padua in Mokrovousy dates from 1745. The statue of Saint Anthony of Padua was moved to Mokrovousy after the fire at the castle in Sadová in 1777 and has been protected as a monument since 24 June 2002.

The Harrachovská studna is a technical monument in Mokrovousy. Archaeological finds at the “Pod kostelem” site provide evidence of a prehistoric settlement. A monument erected in 1928 commemorates eleven citizens of Mokrovousy who fell at the front.

Local Life

A children’s playground was built next to the “Na koupališti” kiosk in 2011. The “Na koupališti” kiosk offers seating for visitors during the summer months. From August 2011, seating was available at the “Na koupališti” kiosk during the summer months.
