Puchlovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Puchlovice lies in a flat landscape on the right bank of the Bystřice River. In the center stands a chapel dating from 1899, which underwent extensive renovation in 2016.

History and Townscape

The “Boží muka” wayside shrine dates from 1905. A Renaissance fortress was built on the Puchlovice estate in 1548 and was converted to Baroque style in the second half of the 17th century. The former Puchlovice château was demolished after 1978.

Cycling route 4288 runs through Puchlovice. The village also has a children’s playground with numerous play features. During the season, the municipal pond is used for fishing; in winter, the people of Puchlovice go ice skating there.

Local Life and Central Points of Interest

A memorial winter lime tree was planted in the “U křížku” area in the central part of Puchlovice. There are seating areas and a map of the surroundings of Puchlovice. The municipality of Puchlovice traditionally organizes the lighting of the Christmas tree, Children’s Day celebrations, the burning of the witches and similar themed events.

Connection to Hradec Králové

The regional capital can be reached in 30 minutes by the Nechanice–Hradec Králové bus route.
