In Mlékosrby, sacred buildings, river landscapes, and local festival traditions come together.

Church and Local Architecture

The Church of St. Philip and St. James in Mlékosrby has a Baroque core dating from 1709. It also contains the Kinský family crypt, which was established in 1818 and expanded in the 1930s.

Local architecture also includes the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes. František Hladík built it in 1898; following its most recent restoration to date, it was solemnly blessed on 15 September 2018. Local vernacular architecture can also be seen in Mlékosrby.

Landscape and Nature

The Cidlina River flows through the municipal area of Mlékosrby. The Cidlina corridor comprises an extensive floodplain and a clearly defined valley floor with a large proportion of permanently grassed land.

The Mlékosrbský les is designated as the regional biocentre RBC150 and extends across Kosice, Mlékosrby, and Písek. It is accessible from Mlékosrby for short-term recreation.

Mlékosrby also has a mildly thermal mineral spring with a temperature of around 20 Â°C. It is rich in dissolved substances, particularly carbon dioxide. The mineral spring is located near the former baths at Jelínky, where Božena NÄ›mcová stayed in August 1861.

Events and Regional Food

The Mlékosrbský Jarmark is a recurring local folk festival with market stalls, attractions, demonstrations of old technology, and presentations of historical uniforms, customs, and traditions. For 2026, the XV Mlékosrbský Jarmark in Mlékosrby was listed in the calendar of regional food events, where award-winning regional food products could be sampled.
