Kopidlno: Hotels and Accommodations

In Kopidlno, the château stands on the southeastern side of the market square, at the beginning of the château park and on the banks of the château pond. The château park is directly accessible from the market square.

Château and Horticulture

Since 1948, Kopidlno Château has been used as the seat of the local higher horticultural and vocational schools; the interiors have been adapted accordingly for school operations. Horticulture is also connected with “Kopidlenský kvítek”, an international competition for pupils from secondary horticultural schools that culminates in a large horticultural sales exhibition with an accompanying programme. During the annual event, as well as at other activities organised by the horticultural school, the palm house is open to visitors.

The public seminar programme included the Advent floristry seminar “Adventní čas”, which took place at the school on 29 November 2025. The programme also includes the spring floristry seminar “Vítání jara”, during which decorations related to spring bulbs are created.

Local History and Events

“Čtení z kronik” is a regular public event in Kopidlno. It enables the public to gain insight into the history of the town and local communities through authentic entries in local chronicles.

Culture

In the vicinity of the Church of St James the Greater, there is a unique gallery of Baroque sculptures. In the wider regional surroundings of Kopidlno, there is also the Valdštejn attraction, which is considered to be a church.
