Češov: Hotels and accommodations

The archaeological site of Češovské valy is located on a gently elevated hill southwest of Češov. The Češovské valy hillfort has the most substantial surviving earthworks in Bohemia and is generally dated to the La Tène period.

Routes

The Češov–Vysoké Veselí route is 18.6 km long, including its branches. It is suitable for pedestrians as well as trekking, cyclocross and mountain bikes.

Culture and history

The bell tower in Češov was built in 1863. The bell in this bell tower dates from 1949; Saint Wenceslas is the patron saint of Češov.

Near the northern gate there is a monument to the Češov huntsman Tomáš Svoboda. The monument to those who fell in the First World War features a statue of Jan Sladký Kozina with a dog.

The hills of U Borku [Záhornice u Městce Králové], Maxinec (MLázovický chlum), Kamenec and Přivýšina are located in the vicinity of Češov. In the wider regional surroundings of Češov is Valdštejn, a church.
