Slavhostice: Hotels and accommodation

Slavhostice originated from two fortresses that also served to protect the trade route from Krakow to Prague.

History and culture

The statue of Saint George is registered in Slavhostice as an immovable cultural monument. The sandstone equestrian statue, erected in 1863, stands among chestnut trees in a small park in the western, lower-lying part of Slavhostice.

The sandstone statue of the Virgin Mary on a square pedestal dates from 1890. It stands at the edge of a small park in the eastern, higher-lying part of Slavhostice.

A monument to the victims of the First World War stands approximately in the centre of Slavhostice.

Landscape

A substantial part of the Slavhostice planning area is recorded as the “Češovský hřbet” landscape character area.

Cycling

The signposted KČT cycle route no. 4288 passes through Slavhostice.

The “Dlouhá okružní trasa přes okolní obce” cycle loop starts in Kopidlno and passes through Slavhostice. It is approximately 43 kilometres long, has a moderate difficulty level, and runs on asphalt and paved roads. The route is relatively flat and is suitable for a day trip with several stops along the way.
