Hlavňov lies directly below the Broumov Walls and is considered an important starting point for trips in the Broumovsko region.

Marked red or blue hiking trails to Hvězda can begin in Hlavňov; the difference in elevation is approximately 300 metres.
History and Culture
There was once a residential house in the locality of Žitavec, where Jiří–Vostrý Žitavec lived until 1729; he is known from Jirásek’s novel “Temno”. Chata Hvězda was built in 1855 and served as an inn and forester’s lodge.
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows on Hvězda was designed by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer in 1732–1733. On a tourist route to the Broumov Rocks, Hospůdka Na hrázi is located between two ponds. It has a sunny terrace overlooking the pond.
In the vicinity of Hlavňov lies Ścinawka Górna Castle – Renesansowy dwór. In the wider region around Hlavňov are Zamek Rogowiec Castle, Grodno Zagórze śl Castle – Zamek muzeum and the Muchołapka monument.
