Mezilečí: Hotels and Accommodation

Mezilečí lies northwest of Česká Skalice, 10 km away from it. The village is situated along a third-order road beside a stream, combining a rural setting with historical traces and signposted paths through the surrounding area.

Villagescape and History

The villagescape is shaped by the listed Zvonice bell tower. The square timber structure dates from 1808, has a shingle roof and stands on a stone base. The first written record of Mezilečí dates from 1495.

The municipality of Mezilečí includes the two local districts, one of which is Posadov. The district is first mentioned on 25 July 1367 and is also situated along the local route through the landscape.

Paths through Forests and Hilly Country

The 33 km-long cycle route 4090 connects Radvanice, Úpice and Slatinský mlýn. In Mezilečí, it runs through the wooded northern part of the village and then continues through the Posadov district towards Křižanov.

Another connection is provided by the yellow-marked local hiking route 9461. It leads from Hořičky through Mezilečí and Posadov to Křižanov. The gently hilly terrain and peaceful surroundings offer opportunities for walks and mushroom picking.

Summer and Winter

In summer, the fire-fighting reservoir in Mezilečí's sports complex is used for swimming. When snow conditions are good, cross-country skiing is also possible in winter.

Surroundings

The hills of Poustka [Brzice] and Kopna [Hajnice-Nesytá] are located in the immediate surroundings of Mezilečí. The wider regional area includes Čáp Mountain, Jański Wierch Mountain and the Lázně church.
