In Přibyslav Nad Metují, the “Peklo” tourist route leads to the center of Přibyslav. It is an easy route that follows marked hiking trails; Přibyslav is also a public transport stop on this route.

Nature

Přibyslav lies at the foot of the Orlické hory on a long, gently sloping hillside. Forests partially surround the village, and from Přibyslav, views extend across the landscape for up to 80 km.

In the vicinity of Přibyslav are the so-called “Skály,” with steep, tall rock formations surrounded by lush forests. The place called “Koníček” near Přibyslav is visited by tourists and offers a view of the romantic Peklo valley and the Metuje River.

History and Culture

Historically, the inhabitants of Přibyslav made their living from agriculture and forestry. Traditional crafts in Přibyslav included blacksmithing, carpentry, and weaving.

In Přibyslav, “Stínání kohoutů” is part of the traditional Posvícení celebration. Since 1993, the Přibyslav Volunteer Fire Brigade has organized its own competition, the “Přibyslavský pohár.”
