The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is considered Lukavice’s most important cultural monument and was built in 1783. A listed crucifix stands beside the entrance gate to the church grounds.

The cross dating from 1799 stands in the upper part of Lukavice. The monument to those who fell in the First World War stands in the centre of Lukavice. Lukavice’s historic school dates from 1888.
The cultural life includes the regularly held Setkání rodáků a přátel Lukavice, a cultural event with an almost 20-year tradition. A traditional pilgrimage was also announced for Lukavice from 14 to 16 August 2026.
Nature and Waterways
Lukavice lies within the catchment areas of the Kněžná and Lukavický potok rivers. One of the municipality’s distinctive landscape areas is the Opukový lom Lukavice, an important landscape area. It is home to thermophilous herbaceous and shrub plant communities; Opukový lom Lukavice also includes a slope meadow with protected plant species.
In Uhřínov-Benátky, wet, unfertilised meadows have been preserved in the Kněžná valley, supporting the rare dusky large blue butterfly.
Trails and Landscape
A 22 km round trip leads from Lukavice via the Uhřínov-Benátky natural monument landscape and the Podolí-býv. osada signpost to the source of the Kněžná; it is marked with green and yellow hiking signs.
The natural beauty of the Kněžná catchment area near Lukavice invites visitors to enjoy tourist activities and walks. In Uhřínov-Benátky, visitors should stay on the paths and not enter the flowering meadows.
