Franzensbad: Hotels and Accommodation

The current exhibition at the Městské muzeum Františkovy Lázně documents the history of the spa town from the discovery of the Františkův pramen spring through the 20th century, as well as the local architecture and the development of balneological methods. On display are historical views of the spa town, a wooden water pipe for the Františkův pramen spring dating from the mid-18th century, and the original statue “František” by Adolf Mayerl from 1923.

The Divadlo Boženy Němcové offers an extensive programme of plays, operettas and concerts. Guest ensembles and a local amateur theatre ensemble also perform there regularly. The Church of St. Michael in Bad Brambach is also located in the vicinity of Františkovy Lázně. The Center of Europe monument is located in the wider region surrounding the town.

Today, the parks of Františkovy Lázně cover more than 250 hectares. They are criss-crossed by dozens of kilometres of park paths suitable for walks in the spa town. The orange Srdíčková Route is 2.2 kilometres long and passes the colonnades of the Solný spring and the Luční pramen spring.

The Soos National Nature Reserve in the vicinity of Františkovy Lázně offers a 1.2-kilometre educational trail through peatlands and wetlands and across the bed of a former lake with mineral water.

The Komorní Hůrka hill and the Zlatý vrch hill are also located in the vicinity. The Heidelberg mountain and the Brunnenberg mountain are situated in the wider region.

Františkovy Lázně can be reached by road, rail and air.
