The first written mention of Kaceřov dates from 1312. In the mid-18th century, a road was built between Prague and Erfurt that ran through Kaceřov.

Kaceřov Castle is considered the municipality’s most important monument. The castle grounds include a farmyard, a park and a castle pond. At the same time, the grounds are a notable example of a small rural Baroque feudal residence.

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity is located in Kaceřov. The late-Baroque Column of the Holy Trinity bears an inscription with the year 1770. On the road from Kaceřov to Chlum sv. Máří, at the cadastral boundary, stands a partially preserved Marian cross or Marian column.

Next to House No. 28 on the western edge of the built-up area of Kaceřov stands a well-preserved statue of Saint Anthony of Padua; the year 1719 is inscribed on the front of its pedestal. The remains of a round fortification are located on the slope above Kaceřov Castle Pond. This round fortification had a diameter of 18 metres.

A small Chapel of St. Anne stands near Kaceřov Castle. The Chapel of St. Anne was built in the 1890s from an older building dating from around 1820 that had been used by the castle gardener. It is a rectangular building above the Libocký potok with an apsidal end in the Neo-Gothic style.
