Sodau: Hotels and Accommodation

The late Baroque municipal chapel of Sadov (Sodau) was built in 1788 by the local cottager Andreas Funk from house number 8 on a hill in the centre of the municipality, between the roads leading towards Podlesí and in front of the later railway viaduct. Architecturally, it is a simple, rectangular, windowless masonry building with a hipped roof and a wooden hexagonal bell turret topped by a copper onion dome. The grounds surrounding the chapel of Sadov are accessible to visitors.

The modern-era municipal chapel of Stráň (Ellm) was built in 1890 in the upper part of the former sloping village square in the middle of the village. After falling into disrepair, it was partially reconstructed in 2010.

The Schlackenwerth Monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of Sadov. In the wider regional surroundings of Sadov are the Church of the Redeemer in Bärenstein and the Church of the Ascension in Cranzahl; both are churches.

The Memorial Beech stands southeast of the local primary school. Since 2014, it has been protected as a dendrologically valuable tree with significant growth.

The mountains in the vicinity of Sadov include Bukový vrch, Travný vrch, Popovský kříž and Vlčinec.
