Location and Landscape

North of Kunratice u Cvikova lies the Lužické hory Protected Landscape Area, home to protected animal and plant species. The 15-metre-high Skála smrti rock face, also known as Rytířský skok, can be reached via a green-marked hiking trail. Travelling from Kunratice u Cvikova towards Lindava, this trail begins after about 1.5 km, running alongside the road on Cycle Route 3055.

A medieval fortress once stood on Zámecký vrch above Kunratice u Cvikova; today, a deep and wide ditch on the southern and eastern sides marks its former location. The stone Kamenný most bridge was restored in 1993 together with the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Culture and History

The Křišťálový chrám is a permanent exhibition by Jiří Pačinek and his sons in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1833. Some of the works in the Křišťálový chrám were created specifically for the particular church interior. The Křišťálový chrám is accessible only as part of a guided tour.

Theatre

The Divadelní studio Josefa II. aims to create unconventional performances that place particular emphasis on contact with the audience. The studio also seeks to continue the tradition of amateur theatre that was active in Kunratice during the interwar period.
