Oldřichov V Hájích: Hotels and accommodations

In Oldřichov v Hájích, the 1.3-kilometre-long Oldřichovské bučiny educational trail leads through 18 stations with interactive elements. It runs from Oldřichovské sedlo via the rock formations Gorila and Lysé skály to the Skalní hrad viewpoint.

Nature

The Viničná cesta follows a contour line through deciduous forests along the steep, rocky northern slopes of the Jizera Mountains. It begins at the Oldřichov v Hájích railway stop and ends in Hejnice. The Včelí educational trail starts on the grounds of the Ekocentrum in Oldřichov v Hájích.

Landscape

Oldřichov v Hájích lies in the foothills of the Jizera Mountains between the Hejnický hřbet and the Oldřichovský hřbet. The Jizerskohorské bučiny National Nature Reserve, which has been on the UNESCO list since 2021, is located in the municipality’s surroundings.

Nature and history

Dům přírody Jizerských hor is the visitor centre of the Jizerské hory Protected Landscape Area and is located in Oldřichov v Hájích. It houses the natural science exhibition “Jizerky všemi smysly” in a former half-timbered agricultural settlement.

Culture

The Clam-Gallasovská game reserve was established in the mid-19th century and covered an area of 5,500 hectares. Stone posts and deer jumps have been preserved. Traditional cottages of the so-called Upper Lusatian house type have also been preserved in Oldřichov v Hájích, including houses no. 5 and no. 330 in Filipka.
