Raspenava combines a protected landscape area with geological traces of mining, historic buildings, a museum in a traditional Upper Lusatian house, and a leisure and sports complex. The individual attractions range from Vápenný vrch and Chlum to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Jäger Villa.
Nature and Landscape
Vápenný vrch is a nature reserve within the Jizera Mountains Protected Landscape Area. It protects geological features exposed by centuries of mining carbonate rock and iron ores. Vápenný vrch can be reached via an accessible tourist trail and has two summits at elevations of 418 and 423 metres.
Chlum is a 495-metre-high phonolite hill on the northern edge of Raspenava’s cadastral area. Chlum was home to the most important prehistoric settlement in the Frýdlantsko region.
Skála Zvon is a 550-metre-high rock formation in the PolednÃk Nature Reserve. The ÄŒeská spára climbing route on Skála Zvon is classified as difficulty grade VIc.

The Jäger Villa features particularly valuable preserved Art Nouveau interiors, which rank among the earliest of their kind in northern Bohemia.
