Benešov u Semil lies on the southern slope of Benešovský vrch. From there, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Krkonoš ridges as well as Ještěd, Tábor, Kozákov and Kumburk. Regional marked cycle route 4174 also runs through the village.

Nature and the Seasons

At the weir on the Jizera, a fish pass allows fish to migrate in both directions. In summer, Benešov u Semil offers the opportunity to swim in natural surroundings. Above the village, a groomed cross-country ski trail is prepared in winter.

Bridge and Village Character

A suspension bridge in a modern Alpine style crosses the Jizera. In this form, it is described as unique not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe. At the same time, it is the only place in the municipality where you can reach the opposite bank with dry feet.
