Přepeře: Hotels and accommodations

Přepeře lies on the right bank of the Jizera River and near the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area. Cycle Route No. 14 passes through the town. Přepeře is considered a traditional rest stop for cycling tourists as well as a traditional stopping place for canoeists on the Jizera River.

Culture and townscape

A landmark of Přepeře is the late Gothic Church of St. James the Elder. Its oldest parts date from 1340 to 1350; it also has restored historic organs. Near the church stands a late-19th-century rectory, preserved in its original Neo-Gothic form. Also nearby is a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1733.

The Přepeřský Husův sbor is a remarkable building. Its design is reminiscent of houses on South Bohemian village squares, while the building also recalls Evangelical churches without towers from the period of religious toleration. On the gallery of the Přepeřer Husův sbor there is a harmonium made by the Petrof company.

On the road to Příšovice, on the bank of the Čtveřínský potok stream, stands a Baroque statue of Saint Agatha. A Neo-Gothic chapel stands in the local cemetery.

Paths and water

Signposted Cycle Route No. 17, called the Greenway Jizera, runs along the river and can be used for cycling, inline skating, riding kick scooters, and hiking; individual sections can also be traveled by boat.
