Navsi: Hotels and Accommodation

The area around Návsí is characterized by two mountain ranges separated by the broad Olše Valley. Cycle Route No. 10 Olza–Olše runs through the town between Jablunkov and Třinec; it forms part of the long-distance main cycle route leading from the Polish border to Chotěbuž.

Nature

Filipka is a protected natural monument in the cadastral area of Návsí u Jablunkova. It protects a 1.0642-hectare pasture with a stand of common juniper trees of varying ages.

Rohovec is also a protected natural monument. It serves to protect the habitat of wood ants.

Trails and Activities

The tourist and nature trail Halamova stezka starts in Návsí and is approximately 20 km long. On the border ridge with Poland, it connects to hiking trails marked in yellow, red, and blue.

A local reservoir in Návsí may be used for fishing with the required permit. The Návsí Paintball Area offers paintball in natural surroundings, as well as well-maintained grounds and equipment.

History and Culture

The Evangelical Church of Návsí is a single-nave brick building in the Empire style. Its construction began in 1817, and it was consecrated in 1820. The remains of the small medieval fortification of Zámčisko can also be found in the town.

The former Evangelical school in Návsí is now called Sborový dům Emaus and has served the general public for training and recreational stays since the 1990s.

A Military Center was opened in Návsí, originally bringing together two independent projects: the Military History Archive of Cieszyn Silesia and a private collection of heavy military equipment. At the Military Center in Návsí, visitors could admire tanks, military trucks, and a newly built bunker.

Transport and Buildings

International express trains from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland stop in Návsí. Sborový dům Emaus has five rooms with a total of 20 beds and two common rooms.
