Historical points of interest in Kozlovice include the Areál Fojtství: in the 16th and 17th centuries, it was the seat of the Wallachian voivodes of the Hukvaldy estate, who were responsible for administering the sheep pastures in the remote mountains. The reconstructed Areál Fojtství offers several independent permanent exhibitions as well as the opportunity to take a guided tour.

Culture and History

The Obecná škola Museum features an exhibition of a traditional kitchen with a brick stove, bread oven, household vessels, and historic baking utensils. The museum also includes an authentically furnished classroom: visitors can sit on historic wooden benches and write with a slate pencil on slate boards.

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Kozlovice, sv. Michaela a sv. Barbory, was built between 1731 and 1742 next to an older church, mostly made of wood, which was probably built around 1300. The elongated single-nave building has a polygonally ended presbytery and a prismatic tower; the church is a national cultural monument.

Landscape

The Areál Na Mlýně lies on the right bank of the Ondřejnice near the lower end of Kozlovice, where the stream cuts into the Palkovické Hůrky and forms a natural gorge several kilometres long. The complex includes a reconstructed mill with a 250-metre-long millrace and a fully functioning waterwheel. Šmiřákův mlýn, now part of the Areál Na Mlýně, was one of the four oldest mills in Kozlovice and was already listed in the first surviving manorial urbarium from 1581.

Opposite the Areál Na Mlýně, a Stations of the Cross with 14 stations is located on the slope of Skalka Hill. The stations are painted based on original designs of folk oil paintings from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.
