Soběšovice: Hotels and accommodations

Soběšovice lies on the right bank of the Žermanice Reservoir. The panorama from Soběšovice across the Moravian-Silesian Beskids extends from Mount Javorový to Lysá Hora.

Water and trails

At the VN Žermanice–Soběšovice bathing area, pedal boats and small boats can be rented. Walks and cycling tours around the Žermanice Reservoir are possible from Soběšovice. The project for a cycle path around the Žermanice Reservoir includes the municipalities of Dolní Domaslavice, Lučina and Soběšovice and is intended for residents’ transport, recreational purposes and the management of the waterworks.

Views and mountains

The Soběšovická vyhlídková věž is a lookout tower with a clock and viewing platform. It is 17.5 m high, and 45 steps lead to its viewing platform. Mount Ropička is located in the vicinity of Soběšovice. The mountains Kyčera, Javorový and Ropica are located in the wider surrounding region.

Church and history

The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was completed in October 1961 and consecrated on October 27, 1961. It is one of the few churches built in the Czech Republic during the 1950s. Its main altar comes from Vidnava, from the chapel of the former seminary.
