Lhotka: Hotels and accommodation

In and around Lhotka, high points on Ondřejník, marked trails via Antoníček, the “Pramen Olešné” spring, as well as a chapel and an amphitheatre await visitors.

Nature and elevations

The highest and southernmost point of Lhotka’s cadastral area lies at an elevation of 900 m and is directly accessible from Ondřejnické sedlo. Ondřejnické sedlo is a 757 m-high saddle where the cadastral areas of Lhotka, Metylovice and Pstruží meet. The 890 m-high summit of Ondřejník offers extensive views due to the almost complete absence of trees. The municipality of Lhotka extends along the Ondřejník ridge as far as the summit of Suché úbočí at an elevation of 864 m.

The “Pramen Olešné” spring can be reached via the green-marked trail from Antoníček towards Lhotka. The stream rising at Pramen Olešné flows through the eastern part of Lhotka as well as through Metylovice and Palkovice, then feeds a reservoir of the same name used for recreation.

Trails and activities

At Antoníček, on the trail from Ondřejník to Lhotka, a turn-off to the village begins, marked by a signposted cross. Two benches invite visitors to rest at Antoníček. The 21 km cycling excursion “Circuit around Ondřejník” includes a green-marked section leading to Lhotka.

The “Sportoviště Kuřín” sports centre has a multi-purpose pitch with artificial turf and a reconstructed grass football pitch. In 2020, a workout area, several outdoor exercise machines, an obstacle course, spring riders and a sandbox were added there.

Culture

The “Kaple Navštívení Panny Marie” chapel in Lhotka was built in 1844 from donations. With the archbishop’s permission, monthly services began to be held in the chapel whenever possible in 1925.

The “Amfiteátr U školy” amphitheatre in Lhotka is used for cultural events, particularly the “Sochovy národopisné slavnosti”.
