Nýdek: Hotels and Accommodation

The Rytířská educational trail begins in the square in Nýdek. The trail is almost 10 km long and has a station near the Čantoryje Nature Reserve.

Nature and Landscape

The Čantoryje National Nature Reserve covers an area of 40 ha in the municipality of Nýdek. The Čantoryje lookout tower is located on the state border between the Czech Republic and Poland.

At 995 m, Velká Čantoryje is the highest point in the municipality of Nýdek and reaches an elevation of 995 m.

Culture and History

Dřeviónka is a replica of an original farmstead and houses a small museum documenting local life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. A permanent exhibition is also dedicated to the industrial history of Nýdek.

The Church of Saint Nicholas in Nýdek dates back to 1576.

Festivals and Regional Specialties

The traditional Krmáš takes place every year in October. BIERFEST takes place every third Saturday in July in Nýdek’s square, where visitors can sample around ten types of beer and numerous local specialties.
