The famous Stonavská pouť has been held since 1911 and is attended every July by thousands of visitors from throughout the region.
Culture and History
The church dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene was declared a cultural monument by the Czech Ministry of Culture on January 23, 1992. The Protestant church in Kateřina was completed in 1938. In Stonava, the Protestant church has been the center of an independent congregation since 1950.
Events and Harvest Traditions
The Stonavské dožÃnky are scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, in PZKO Park in Stonava as a celebration marking the end of summer and commemorating harvest traditions. At the event, visitors will be offered traditional homemade products, kolaches, and pork specialties.
Sports and Recreation
Stonava's sports complex includes an athletics track, which also hosts track and field competitions, not only at the regional level. A pump track expanded the range of sports activities in Stonava in 2018. Stonava Sports Hall offers indoor football, volleyball, basketball, and floorball. The Běh přátelstvà is an event held in Stonava in May.
