Bartošovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Bartošovice combines a chateau and church with the Bartošovický luh Nature Reserve. The Zámecká naučná stezka educational trail, as well as exhibitions at the Poodří House of Nature and the Bartošovice Rescue Station, reveal further diverse aspects of the town.

Culture

Bartošovice Chateau is a four-winged building with a small enclosed courtyard. Preserved 19th-century furnishings and a library with a marble fireplace are among its defining features. The Moravské Kravařsko exhibition at Bartošovice Chateau is divided into four thematic sections.

The Church of St Peter and Paul in Bartošovice was rebuilt in 1583. Its 35 m high tower was completed in 1692.

Nature

The Bartošovický luh Nature Reserve encompasses the naturally meandering course of the Oder and the ecosystem of the Upper Bartošovický Pond, including its bank vegetation. The protected area also includes adjacent small bodies of water, wetlands and reed beds, continuous floodplain meadows with water-bearing ditches, a wooded terrace with numerous springs and forest wetlands, as well as an orchard with traditional regional fruit varieties.

Bartošovický luh is home to a concentration of specially protected plant and animal species.

Things to Do

The Zámecká naučná stezka educational trail is approximately 5 km long and runs through the cadastral area of the municipality of Bartošovice. It is marked in the field with standardised green-and-white markings. The first station is located by the municipal office on the village square in Bartošovice.

Nature Exhibitions

The Poodří House of Nature offers an indoor exhibition with information panels about Poodří and interactive elements, which visitors can view independently. The exhibition with live animals at the Bartošovice Rescue Station includes more than 30 animal species, particularly birds. A guide is required when visiting this exhibition.
