Above the Jakubčovice nad Odrou weir on the Oder River begins the protected area of the European-significance natural site of Horní Odra. It preserves the river as far as its confluence with the Budišovka near Hadinka as a habitat for the protected European bullhead.

Nature and Landscape

The Suchá Dora Nature Reserve protects a remaining natural area typical of the Oderské vrchy, with rock outcrops and particularly protected animal species. The area is freely accessible; access by car is possible to within 250 metres. The protected pedunculate oak known as Pavlíkův dub is 32 metres high and has a trunk circumference of 365 centimetres.

Culture and History

A wooden bell tower stands in the village square and probably dates from the late 17th century. Today, the municipality only has its bell rung on special occasions, including during the Christmas holidays.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was built in 1854 and is also called Schorschova kaple. Services and rosary prayers are still held in the chapel. A sandstone cross dating from the 17th century stands beside it.

The former Teltschik quarry Na Skalce preserves concrete feet and foundation slabs as remnants of extraction activities from the period before the Second World War.
