Tichá: Hotels and Accommodation

Tichá is located in the Přírodní park Podbeskydí nature park and is characterized in its centre by a deep valley through which the Tichávka stream flows from east to west. The highest point of Tichavská Hůrka is 544 m above sea level.

Nature

On the southwestern slope of Tichavská Hůrka, on the right bank of the Tichávka stream, lies the Travertinová kaskáda. The peaks of Skalka, Kyčera, Velká Stolová and Kamenárka, which are classified as mountains, are also located around Tichá.

Things to Do

The first educational trail in Tichá was ceremonially opened on 17 November 2012. It includes five stations with information panels as well as several mini-stations marked with QR signs.

Culture

Readings are regularly held on Thursdays in summer at the Tichá library as part of the “3 pohádky ve 3” programme.

The Church of Saint Nicholas was struck by lightning on 13 August 1964, caught fire and was completely destroyed. The new brick Church of Saint Nicholas was built in 1976 at the same location as a modern replacement for the original church.

After attending a vocational school of arts and crafts in Brno, Alžběta Fojtíková learned various glass-painting techniques.
