The first written mention of Březová is traditionally dated to the year 1238.

History

By 1412 at the latest, Březová was an important small town with a parish church and the right to hold annual markets. The Baroque Church of St. Nicholas was built in 1692 and extended in 1862. The linden tree next to the Church of St. Nicholas was planted in 1698.

In Březová, questing combines a game with getting to know the place visited; a treasure awaits at the end. The quests in Březová convey the local natural, cultural and historical heritage and make it accessible through experience. The so-called Březovský quest was created by pupils from ZŠ Březová.

Nature

Behind the village, on the right bank of the Moravice, lies the Jelenice Game Reserve. It contains sedge marshes and a spring with snowdrops; the spring lies below Vlčí hůra. Fallow deer, mouflon, red deer, sika deer and wild boar are also kept there.
