Jezdkovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Jezdkovice combines a history dating back to the Middle Ages with a château and several religious and commemorative monuments. Jezdkovice Château was built in 1618–1619 in the late Renaissance style. After the death of its first builder, it was remodeled in the Baroque style and is protected as a cultural monument under Czech registration number 25000/8-1395.

History and Culture

Jezdkovice was first mentioned in written records in 1250 under the name Jeskendorf. The local history also includes two monuments: The monument to those who fell in the First World War was ceremonially unveiled and consecrated in front of the municipal building on 11 June 1921. Jezdkovice also has a monument commemorating those who fell in the First and Second World Wars.

The Chapel of Christ the King in Jezdkovice was built in 1927. The redesign of the public square in front of the Chapel of Christ the King was the subject of a project.

Religious Monuments and Château Park

The Boží muka in Jezdkovice is a small religious monument dating from 1853. It stands on a hill above Jezdkovice, beside a field path leading towards Nový Dvůr.

The restoration of Jezdkovice Château Park included renewed paths and stone walls with terraces. The château park is used for cultural events and recreational activities for children and young people.

Nature in the Surrounding Area

The nearby Nový Dvůr Arboretum is a dendrological garden in Nový Dvůr, a district of the municipality of Stěbořice. Its thematic plantings include North American forests and prairies, Siberia, a Japanese garden, and plants from the Himalayas. Exhibitions are also held regularly.
