Raduň: Hotels and accommodations
Raduň State Chateau is the largest cultural monument in Raduň. Several tours focus on different aspects: “Jižní zámek A (základní okruh)” presents the representative rooms of the aristocratic family and the private quarters of the domestic staff, offering insights into the lifestyle of the chateau’s residents from the early 19th century to the mid-20th century. “Vzpomínky na Afriku – aristokrat na cestě do neznáma” follows the footsteps of Count Gebhard Blücher and his journey to southern Africa in 1894. The tour “Teplo domova: technické zázemí raduňského zámku” leads into the attic rooms, roof spaces, and cellar of Raduň Chateau.
Culture
The Church of the Holy Trinity in Raduň was built between 1598 and 1603. It is a single-nave Renaissance church whose architectural design is associated with a defensive or fortification function. The visitor attraction “Oranžérie s okrasnou zahradou C” comprises a Neoclassical orangery from 1825–1826 with an adjoining ornamental and herb garden, as well as an orchard.
Nature and trails
The boundary of the Moravice Nature Park runs through the cadastral area of Raduň. Raduň Chateau Park was laid out as an English landscape park for romantic walks and carriage rides. Cycle route 6078 “Údolím Raduňky”, which runs from Fulnek to Opava, passes along the edge of the chateau park. A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Raduň, heading north towards Opava and south past the chateau through the valley of the Raduňka stream to Jakubčovice.
