Hlubočec: Hotels and Accommodation

Hlubočec is surrounded by cultivated fields and the extensive forest complexes of the Nízký Jeseník. To the north of the village rises the 530 m-high Hůrka hill, whose mobile phone and television transmitters form a distinctive landmark in the landscape. The area around Hlubočec belongs to the “Přírodní park Moravice” nature park.

Nature and Trails

Streams rise below Hůrka and flow through wooded valleys. The green-marked hiking trail enters the Setina valley by the chapel, passes Honův mlýn with its pond, and descends to an asphalt road leading to Hlubočec.

Culture

The Chapel of St. John Paul is designated in Hlubočec as a monument and asset of local significance. It was built on the site of a wooden chapel; in 2013, Hlubočec celebrated the 120th anniversary of its consecration.

Cycling and Sports

The 15 km-long cycle route No. 6141 “Údolím Raduňky” runs between Hradec nad Moravicí, the area near Skřipov, Hlubočec and Pustá Polom.

At the Sportovní areál in Hlubočec, a building with an equipped kitchen and basic tableware can be rented for up to 30 people. There are also covered outdoor seating areas, changing rooms and sanitary facilities. The facilities available for rent include a tennis and nohejbal court with artificial turf, a grass playing field and a fire-sports track.

Dožínkové slavnosti

At the Dožínkové slavnosti held on 6 September 2025, a procession with agricultural and fire-fighting vehicles to the local Sportovní areál followed a mass in the chapel. The programme included traditional crafts, entertainment for children, brass-band and cimbalom music, as well as a dance evening.
