Nové Sedlice: Hotels and accommodations

Nové Sedlice lies with its southern part at the foot of the Polomská vrchovina hills and borders the Poopava Lowland to the northwest.

Nature and Trails

A marked hiking trail runs through Nové Sedlice towards the Přerovec reservoir. A red-marked and a blue-marked hiking route also run along Hlavní Street; the sidewalks are also used by visitors.

The regional Opava–Radegast beer cycling route runs through the cadastral area of Nové Sedlice. Local cycling route 6199 runs through the cadastral area from north to south, towards Přerovec and Hrabyně, and continues from Nové Sedlice to Štítina. From Raduň, cycling route 6055 reaches Nové Sedlice after a 4-kilometre section across meadows and between small patches of woodland.

Culture and History

A cross by the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity dates from 1915 and commemorates František Tížek, who fell in the First World War.

The former school building in Nové Sedlice is a beautifully restored Art Nouveau building. It was built in 1924 and now houses the kindergarten, the municipal cultural centre and the library.

Everyday Life and Recreation

The Areál Soudržnosti serves as a place for everyday recreation in Nové Sedlice. The complex also includes a football pitch.

Transport Connections

Within the IDS integrated transport system, Nové Sedlice is connected by the Opava–Komárov–Nové Sedlice–Štítina–Kravaře–Ostrava bus route.
