Bohuslávky: Hotels and Accommodation

Bohuslávky combines the Obora Forest with an informative nature trail and notable evidence of the area's history. The Študentova Forest Educational Trail features five information panels on flora, fauna and life in the forest.

Nature

The Obora Forest lies west of Bohuslávky and is bordered to the north by the Class III road between Bohuslávky and Dolní Újezd. The 200-year-old pedunculate oak is its defining tree and, at the same time, the symbol of Bohuslávky.

The Študentova Forest Educational Trail leads through the Obora Forest and begins at a tourist shelter next to the road from Bohuslávky to Dolní Újezd. It is named after the local forester Ing. František Študent, whose name has been associated with forestry in the forests and surroundings of Bohuslávky for more than 60 years. The trail is suitable for small children and can be walked with a stroller.

History and Culture

The Chapel of All Saints in Bohuslávky dates from 1809. There is a cross by the chapel; a second cross is located at a wayside cross in the direction of Trnávka. The Kovaříkův grunt farmstead, house no. 6, is also one of the sights of Bohuslávky.

The first written mention of Bohuslávky dates from 1322 and is found in the so-called Osecký Missal.

Transport

A bus connection from Bohuslávky links up with train services from Lipník nad Bečvou towards Přerov, Olomouc and Ostrava.
