Among the apple orchards above Dětkovice, below Plánivá, there is a chapel offering views of Dětkovice, Vranovice, Určice, and the hill of Předina with its transmission tower.

Landscape

On Plánivá hill above Dětkovice stand the remains of a Dutch-type windmill built between 1750 and 1800. The chapel below Plánivá can be reached from Dětkovice via a dirt track that begins at the northern edge of the village. Among other events, the Dětkovice Volunteer Fire Brigade organises the ascent of Plániva (Výstup na Plánivu).

Culture

The Chapel of St. Anne is a valuable example of religious architecture dating from 1835. It was built in 1835 and consecrated in 1839, and it significantly shapes the space of the village square. The field chapel near Dětkovice was built between 1711 and 1714. Local customs include the felling of the maypole (Kácení máje), a tradition that has been passed down to the present day.

In the Village

The southwestern cadastral boundary of Dětkovice borders the Blátka Nature Reserve, which belongs to the cadastral area of Vranovice-Kelčice. Dětkovice is connected to the surrounding settlements by two bus lines operating as part of the Integrated Transport System of the Olomouc Region.

Cycle Route 5041 runs through Dětkovice along a Class III road passing through the village; there are no separate cycle paths in the municipality. Fruit growing is a major branch of agricultural production in Dětkovice.
