Čelčice: Hotels and accommodations

Čelčice has two chapels with different historical periods. Together with the agricultural history and the landscape features in the surrounding area, they create a concrete picture of the village.

Culture and history

The Chapel of St. Florian stands on the village square in Čelčice. The older Chapel of St. Florian probably dates from the late 17th century; a small tower was added to it in autumn 1920. The new Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk stands on a hill along a field path to Výšovice. It dates from the 18th century, probably from around 1730.

The monuments “Monument to the Victims of the First World War” and “Statue of St. John of Nepomuk” are also located in the vicinity of Čelčice. In the wider regional area are the ruins of Hrádek and Kuchlov.

Agriculture and horticulture

The agricultural history of Čelčice includes the cultivation of sugar beet and cereals such as wheat and rye. Historical horticultural production included apples, plums, ringlot plums, pears, and cherries.

Landscape and routes

The Prostějov–Čelčice cycle path project was implemented to promote cycling tourism and a healthy lifestyle. Another landscape feature is the pond near Čelčice: it is bordered by a paved road that leads almost to Větřák Hill.

The Předina and Chlum mountains and the “(Zadní Díly) [Uhřičice]” hill are located in the vicinity of Čelčice. Horka Mountain lies in the wider regional area of Čelčice.
