Příkazy: Hotels and Accommodation

In Příkazy, the Hanácké muzeum v přírodě, also known as the Haná open-air museum, stands as a unique example of earthen architecture in the Haná region. The well-preserved complex includes orchards, three unique stable barns with timber-frame façades, and a replica.

Culture

Příkazy has a street plan of medieval origin and a significant ensemble of folk architecture featuring residential and farm buildings made of earth, masonry, and wood dating from the 17th to the 19th century. The ensemble also includes buildings relocated here from the surrounding area or reconstructed.

The Chapel of St. Cyril and Methodius is dedicated to the Slavic missionaries and also serves as a memorial to the victims of the world wars. Architecturally, it resembles a Romanesque rotunda with two apses. The sculptor Julius Pelikán and the painters Jano Kőhler and Eduard Milén contributed to its artistic design.

Tours

The tour of Kameníčkův grunt includes the residential and farm sections of the Haná farmhouse dating from 1876, the adjacent gardens, and the stable barns with timber-frame façades. A guided tour of Kameníčkův grunt presents the history of the municipality as well as everyday life on a Haná farm in the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The tour also includes an exhibition of historic agricultural machinery and equipment.

Visitors can use a special map from the Hanácké muzeum v přírodě to walk through Příkazy and see selected buildings of interest in the village. The visitor route through Příkazy also leads to Haná farmsteads made of fired and unfired bricks.

Events

The Hanácké muzeum v přírodě program for 2026 includes the event “HANÁCKÉ VELIKONOCE,” featuring traditional Easter customs and traditions from the Haná region, egg decorating, tatars braiding, baking Jidáše, and Easter games for children.

The Hanácké muzeum v přírodě can be reached by train via Příkazy station on the Drahanovice/Senice–Příkazy–Olomouc route.
