Křtomil: Hotels and Accommodation

Křtomil lies at the foot of the prehistoric burial ground and settlement of Ochozy.

Culture and Townscape

The bell tower in Křtomil bears a mosaic of Saint Florian. There is also a stone statue of the Virgin Mary in the village, as well as two stone crosses.

The roadside chapel known as “Boží muka” was originally built of wood. It is located on the right-hand side of the main road before Křtomil when coming from the direction of Bystřice pod Hostýnem.

Traditions and Events

Křtomil hosts the traditional bear procession “Vodění medvěda” every year. The Easter rattle tradition “Velikonoční klapotání” is also observed annually. The annual calendar also includes the walk “Pochod kolem obce”, held around the village, as well as a Children’s Day.

Landscape and Sports

The pond locally known as “Bahňák” is designated as a tourist attraction in Křtomil.

The sports field in Křtomil is intended for volleyball, nohejbal, handball, small-sided football, tennis, badminton, and ice hockey.
