Culture and History

The first documented mention of the Church of St. John the Baptist dates back to 1373. The present church was completed in 1735 and consecrated on October 12, 1741, by Bishop Jakub Arnošt z Liechtenštejna. Its floor plan is circular, while its exterior has a Baroque appearance.

The private fire service museum was opened to the public in 1995. It displays historical uniforms, tools, and equipment, including a combination horse-drawn fire engine from 1924. The museum can be visited at any time, including in winter; prior arrangement is recommended.
