The presumed medieval settlement area of Rakov has been documented. During the reconstruction of the road between Rakov and Býškovice in 1935–1936, prehistoric remains were discovered when the Brána hill was cut through.

On 15 August 2026 from 3:00 p.m., the Municipality of Rakov invited families with children to a “Holiday Afternoon” at the open-air recreation area in Rakov.
