Stará Ves: Hotels and Accommodation

Stará Ves is defined in the surrounding landscape by a 60-metre-high tower. It belongs to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which is registered as an immovable cultural monument.

Culture

Near the church is the rectory complex, built in 1900. Its external appearance displays historicist stylistic forms with hints of emerging Art Nouveau. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is also registered as an immovable cultural monument.

Nature

The protected area of Přestavlcký les extends into the cadastral area of Stará Ves u Přerova. The protected area preserves extensively mown lowland meadows extending into the hilly region. The Přestavlcký les is also home to Carpathian and Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests.

Trails and Pilgrimage

At Holý kopec, a scenic route runs along a field road and a treeless ridge for almost two kilometres. The route offers far-reaching views across large parts of Moravia. At Holý kopec, the blue-marked route from Karlovice to Stará Ves passes close to a 46-metre-high broadcasting tower. A cycle path on the route from Stará Ves leads to the broadcasting tower on Holý kopec.

It has been handed down that a pilgrimage regularly takes place on the first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in September, travelling from Stará Ves to a spring.
