Annín: Hotels and Accommodation
Lake Annínské belongs to the Tovačovská Lakes system, which consists of four independent bodies of water. Swimming is permitted at your own risk in the marked area of Lake Annínské.
Water and Landscape
Today’s Skašovský Lake is a remnant area created by intensive gravel and sand mining in the second half of the 20th century. European beavers occur in the lakes around Annín.
Culture and Village Character
The Annín housing colony was founded in 1799. The Chapel of Saint Anne is the most distinctive landmark of Annín and has a painted ceiling above the altar. It is listed as a cultural monument in Tovačov II–Annín.
Part of Annín’s historic centre still preserves a clearly defined linear village layout.
Trails and History
Behind Tovačov bus station, the Moravská stezka branches off onto the road to Annín and Lobodice. Behind the Tovačov water mill, a green-marked hiking trail leads towards Annín. After crossing the road, this green-marked hiking trail continues to the dam of the Skašovské Reservoir.
The nearby educational trail “In the Footsteps of the Battle of Tovačov 1866” includes a sandstone pyramid for an unknown Austrian soldier at the dam of Skašovský Lake.
