Víceměřice: Hotels and accommodations

The 4.5 km-long Víceměřice educational trail, with six stops, combines information about nature and history. One information board is dedicated to the Kratiny archaeological site, while the fifth information board presents the animal and plant life found in the Svodnice. Kratiny is a La Tène-period open settlement as well as a production and distribution center of supraregional importance.

Culture and history

The history of the village includes Víceměřice Castle, which originated from a Renaissance fortress dating from the 16th century. The Víceměřice Museum of Life documents life from the 1930s to the 1990s and contains more than 3,000 larger and smaller everyday objects. The Víceměřice Museum also has an exhibition on the history of the individual houses in Víceměřice.

The Chapel of St. Florian can be visited by prior arrangement as part of an approximately 30-minute guided tour. Balls and other cultural events are regularly held in Víceměřice, organized by local associations in cooperation with the municipal office.

Nature and landscape

The Kozlov Lookout is located on Kozlov Hill above Víceměřice at an altitude of 251 meters above sea level. From the Kozlov Lookout, there is a view toward the Hostýnské vrchy hills.

Předina Mountain is located in the vicinity of Víceměřice, as is Chlum Mountain. In the wider regional surroundings of Víceměřice are the “Statue of St. John of Nepomuk” monument, the “Monument to the Victims of the First World War” monument, Hrádek Ruins, Hradisko Mountain, Kuchlov Ruins, and Horka Mountain.
