Vrchoslavice: Hotels and accommodation

Vrchoslavice combines preserved historical landmarks with a distinctive local landscape. Valuable Renaissance tombstones have been preserved in the Church of St. Michael in Vrchoslavice. The complex of St. Michael’s Church is listed as an immovable cultural monument and is intended to be protected and preserved.

Culture and history

The chapel in Dlouhá Ves dates from the period after 1867. The obelisk was erected in 1855 by the married couple Jan and Františka Hrabčík in place of an earlier metal cross.

Landscape and nature

Lopaťák consists of three interconnected water basins, primarily serving a landscape-forming function. The basins are part of the ecological stability system in a local biocentre and provide habitat for aquatic animals.

An asphalt access road leads to Lopaťák and connects to the cycle path from Němčice nad Hanou to Vrchoslavice; the route is suitable for cyclists and inline skaters.

Vitčický les, a hill, lies in the vicinity of Vrchoslavice. Předina, a mountain, is also located near Vrchoslavice.

Events

Since 2014, a Holy Mass with a small pilgrimage has been held at the chapel in Dlouhá Ves in May or June. A regular New Year’s Day gathering of residents from three municipalities takes place at Lopaťák.

The Vrchoslavice parish organises concerts, Corpus Christi celebrations, Noc kostelů, and summer activities for children. Regular and now traditional events in Zamlýní include Běh osvobození, hasičský úterek pro děti, and Hodové soutěže.
