Vojtěchov: Hotels and accommodations

Vojtěchov lies in the foothills of the Žďárské vrchy at an altitude of 528 metres.

Nature

The part of Vojtěchov located south of the I/34 road belongs to the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. It is predominantly characterised by forests; to a lesser extent, there are agricultural areas and meadows.

History

Vojtěchov was established in the second half of the 13th century during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II and his son Václav II. The first written mention dates from 1392. At the beginning of the 19th century, an evangelical cemetery was established in Vojtěchov and is still in use. In the Pláňavy area, traces of charcoal-burning sites connected with historical iron processing have been preserved.

Experiences

The Vojtěchovská rozhledna observation tower opened near Vojtěchov in July 2010. In clear weather, Kunětická hora, Sněžka and Kralický Sněžník can be seen from the observation tower. In April, May and June, as well as in September and October, the Vojtěchovská rozhledna is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; in July and August, it is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cycle route 4122 also passes through Vojtěchov.

Transport

Vojtěchov railway station is located on railway line 238 between Pardubice and Havlíčkův Brod. It is part of the IREDO integrated transport system.

Culinary experiences

Vojtěchovské vinobraní VIII is scheduled to take place on 5 September 2026 from 5 p.m. at the Pod Kovárnou wine shop. Its programme includes music and dancing; Frída Orator and the band Bipolární tranzistor will perform. At Vojtěchovské vinobraní VIII, Burčák, grilled pork knuckles, potato pancakes, homemade cakes and a wide selection of Moravian spirits will be served.
