Brloh: Hotels and Accommodation

In 2016, the Brložský Trilobit was held for the second time; in 2026, it will be held for the twelfth time. On 29 August 2026, the Brložský Trilobit will begin with an educational trail from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; there will also be themed workshops on that day.

Culture and Local History

In Brloh, the remains of the fortifications of the acropolis of a little-known fortress complex near a pond have been preserved. The site is occupied by House No. 27.

Svatý Jiří is a church in the vicinity of Brloh. In the wider regional surroundings of Brloh lies Zámek Kačina, a château.

Quarry and Earth History

Brloh Quarry lies on the southwestern edge of Brloh in the valley of the Brložský potok, about 50 metres west of the built-up area. It can be reached via pathless terrain and lies more than 250 metres from the road.

At the lookout point above the quarry wall, quartz sandstone through quartzite grades into conglomeratic sandstone containing worked quartz and lydite pebbles up to 1.5 centimetres in size.

Brloh Quarry is part of a geological educational trail illustrating the history of the Earth. In the disused Brloh Quarry, evidence of prehistory is visible on boulders and rock walls.

Landscape Setting

The Brložský potok flows through Brloh and empties into the Elbe. Krkanka is a mountain in the vicinity of Brloh, as is Bučina. Křemen [Mokošín] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Brloh; Žebráky [Přelouč] is also a hill in the immediate vicinity.
